so?

2007 kicked off with a bang. in the first hour of the new year, the brotherhood of the konek gajiah shared some of our deepest secrets. thanks very much to the lads for coming down to starbucks wisma where i was at during the last few hours of 2006. but i think they have to thank me more for getting so much marked out food to take home.

as i was walking home after the crazy cab ride, i finally admitted to myself i guess i was a lousy boyfriend. oh well who cares when you have fuckin crazy friends. fuckin crazy friends are better than any fuckin tingtong girlfriend.

the wise words of one of the brothers of the konek gajiah: girls gotta understand we haven't got much money, so the only thing we can offer is our company.

so how poor we are you may ask. there was once we shared a cup of tea among three of us.

www.anti-social.com

i dread it everytime hari raya comes, be it hari raya puasa or haji. i hate visiting since i have to travel by public transport. my brothers and i always end up sharing for a cab whereas my parents will take the bus or train. there're so many houses to visit and i hate going all over the place. even if i could travel by car, i just can't stand being on the road for so long. whoever said singapore was small?!

i think that if you want to practise the habit of visiting your relatives and friends, you don't need to wait till hari raya. you can just come by during the weekend for a dinner party or something. so that's why there's the overrated hype about hari raya because 99% of us visit others only during hari raya and that is the one and only time to get to see them. if you were to visit, or just go on an outing with your relatives or friends frequently, you wouldn't see hari raya as something very special. you would just grace the event and not go on a visiting frenzy.

i am so not going to wear baju kurung tmw.

what 2006 means to me

it's christmas day and it's less than a week before we say goodbye to 2006 and hello to the 7th year of the 21st century.

i will not write about how i lived through 2006 because i believe what's over should just be left that way but never forgotten because through these experiences, be it good or fucking bad, you grow up. you learn from the mistakes and do your best not to repeat them again. therefore i'd like to share with everyone the most valuable lesson i've learnt which is friendship. what i am going to say isn't all from my personal experience, but also from what i see is happening around me. you won't live long enough to make every mistake possible, so learn from others' mistakes too.

first and foremost, everything doesn't last, friendships included. from what i see, the most important word to ensure a lasting friendship isn't love, trust or anything of that sort. but it's the most difficult word to say; sorry. i believe that even without love or trust but with just a simple sorry, friendships can be saved. although your ego might get the better of you sometimes, you just need to lower yourself and be humble for once and just apologise. that's the reason why my secondary school buddies and i have been close to one another for so long, because we never think we're better than the other person and we admit our mistakes. be nice to people, your friends, and they will be nice to you in return. this world doesn't need love. all it needs is for everyone to start saying sorry.

till then, to all the christians, merry christmas.

sneakers

i attended sp's chem and life sci department's dinner and dance with my friend, JUST A FRIEND, and i realised a few things. firstly, when girls are out of their t-shirt and jeans and with make up on, they look very much prettier. secondly, the life sci people can't dance. lastly, you never know when lady luck might be smiling at you. in my case it did. i left the pan pacific hotel ballroom that night with a $100 takashimaya cash voucher. =)

time

just 3 more days left before the 3-week holiday begins. i guess this would be my last week of school as i will be performing a disappearing act come the next term. my attendence is safe enough for me to just stay home and self-study for the exams. yes, i'm going to mug like fuck cause this is the last exam in a poly! the only times i would be in school would be to do final touch-ups on the fyp or attend precious tutorials where the tutor will give priceless tips for the exams.

3 years have certainly whizzed by like a fighter plane travelling at twice the speed of sound. speaking of which i hope to serve my 2 years of national service as an air force cadet pilot. however if i do not get in, which is highly probable, i'd fucking dread serving NS.

master your mind, design your destiny

i really hope you guys stick around to watch this because this just shows why the jews are the smartest people on Earth, and why you shouldn't believe in those fortune telling mediums or even read horoscopes. in case you don't know, that's Ali G as one of his characters, Bruno, who's an Austrian gay. so everything he says is pure bullshit and fictitous. but the psychic doesn't know this and can still go on using his so called powers. man this guy got burned, BAD.

melancholy grab

in view of tomorrow's so called humanitarian efforts in a joint effort by starbucks and the salvation army to help the unfortunate, it's clearly shown here that we are doing a good deed for people whom we don't know. so let's say someone whom you despise is in pain or trouble, would you go help? i guess most of us, including myself, wouldn't even lay a finger to assist that person. contradicting innit, we would go to such extents to improve the lives of the needy but turn a blind eye to someone whom you actually know and is in dire need of assistance.

we live in a cruel world. only the meanest survive. trust no bastard.

unlike poles

i don't know if there's any theory to what a i'm about to say or if there's any ongoing research about it. but what i do know is, i'm very bewildered.

why isn't there any taxi when you need one, and a handful are available when you least need them? when you love someone very much, you end up not getting back what you deserve but when you hate that someone, they actually love you? has it occurred to you before, when you have alot of money in your hands, you don't know what to spend them on but when you're deadbroke, you suddenly realise you want alot of things? when you've studied like fuck for a test, you end up with a mediocre result and when you don't give a damn, you do well?

that's something to ponder over. in the meantime, i'm chasing a dream. are you?

<3

this is by far, the bestest moral of the story for the movie Heart. credits to a buddy of mine.

she says:
moral of the story (before i forget) -

she says:
never treat a guy you like as your buddy

she says:
coz once you're stuck as the buddy

she says:
very hard to switch to gf

eligible bachelors

when we were all virgins, i think

i'm proud to say that my friends and i have put the standard chartered marathon to shame. nobody in their right state of mind would walk from lau pa sat to mos, river valley road to somerset mrt and finally a stroll along orchard road. but we did. we caught the last train home and by then, we were injured. everyone went home a happy lad.

unlike most girls, we guys don't bring cameras with us wherever we went so there're no pictures to share. till then, we're all single but not available. sorry.
