with might and pride as a platoon we fight

proud brothers are we to be

for we shared the same surname for 3 months, Falcon

we enlisted as one and gave up our tekong citizenships together

something worth bragging about to our girlfriends and future mother-in-laws

and something that we wish we could go through together again

saving private afzal

it feels good to be on block leave. i can finally catch up with my family, friends and playstation. on the other hand as much as i complain about how life in bmt is, i do miss tekong life, not everything but most of them, especially my platoonmates. however bad things might be at times, at the end of the day it's something to remember and learn from.

bmt has changed me for the better, just a teeny weeny bit. because deep down i'm still a childish bratty little mummy's boy who never makes his bed and just leaves the dirty dishes in the sink. i fit the term 'wayang soldier'. =)

i think we actually look good together. but then again, i'm a walking contradiction.

iRecruit

i don't know if i'm slow on this because i'm castaway on an island but apple just came out with the new range of ipods and how i wish i could get my hands on all of them. go check them out at www.apple.com.sg.

dear mom, dad, nenek, granda, aunties and uncles, can i request that you put a little more value, especially in form of the colour blue, in the green ang paos during this year's hari raya? each cent contributed will go directly to 'afzal is a spoilt brat and wants a new ipod badly' fund.

at first i thought i was going to die during the 24km route march we did last monday. but i'm still alive because it's just not time for me to die yet. if you need a rough idea on how far 24km is, it's from yishun all the way to wheelock place, and BACK to yishun. yeah i walked that far. no need for nightrider or cabs anymore.

so the 24km route march marks the end of my BMT. all that's left now is the POP on wednesday! POP-oh!
